Instrument 52-109 relating to the evaluation of the design effectiveness
of internal control over financial reporting as of December 31, 2006 |

Solution: Using the industry recognized COSO and
COBIT frameworks, developed a risk-based, top down methodology:
- Plan and Scope: Determined the scope of documentation and evaluation,
focusing on significant and high-risk areas
- Documentation: Documented the processes, associated risks and key
controls that mitigated the risks
- Evaluation of Design Effectiveness: Evaluated the design effectiveness
of the key controls.
- Remediation: Worked with key stake holders identified remedial actions
to bring residual risk to an acceptable level and within budget
